PRESS: Phone brand Inoi changes Russia for Estonia
MOSCOW, Oct 26 (PRIME) -- Inoi, until recently a Russian brand of smartphones and feature phones that are assembled in China, has left Russia and positions itself now as Estonian, business daily Kommersant reported on Wednesday.
Sources told the daily that Inoi, belonging to Sergei Fomin, a former co-owner of IT distributor VVP Group, which acts as an official supplier of the brand, had left the country.
An Inoi representative said that the company “does not make any comments in the Russian Federation, because it is Estonian.”
A source close to the company confirmed its retreat from the country about a month ago.
On the brand’s official website, there are no more the earlier present regions of Russia and Belarus, which are now replaced with a CIS flag.
